Poor Unfortunate Souls

"What the hell!?" She cried as they ran into a big open room, with a few cells around the walls. There was no one else in this room as they entered it... "Come back! Please?!" Nicolas asked, starting to look around after hitting a wall, he lost his barings.

Henry ducked into a cell with a large crate. He opened it and motioned for Alex to go inside.

Alex came into the cell, closing it behind her. She quickly going to got in, trembling as she curled up.

Henry closed the crate and hid behind it. He took a deep breath and watched for the guard.

Nicolas blindly looked around, starting to whimper with the wheezing sounds he made. "Please come back...." He said softly before leaving the room... They were safe for now.

Henry opened the crate and said "H-he is gone... f-for now..."

"I'm sorry..." She apologized giving him a hug as she got out.

Henry hesitantly hugged Alex and said "W-we should move before he... c-comes back"

"Of course..." Alex agreed, going to leave the cell. She looked around curiously. "So there a guards every where?.. How are we going to do this?" She frowned looking around.

"G-get help... from other p-prisoners..." Henry replied "find out how w-we got here... a-and get out alive" He exited the cell and lead Alex down the halls.

It was quiet as they walked down the halls, some cries could be heard from different parts of the dungeon. Alex held up the lantern as they walked so they had light... "Hopefully we do not run into any more of those guards..." She whispered.

Henry was about to turn a corner when he hear some one call out "HELP ME!" He turned to Alex and said "Th-this way!" He followed the screams and found a young man in a tank that was slowly filling with water. Henry saw no obvious way to stop the water.

Alex stared as water began to fill the tank. "M-maybe we can break it?" She suggested looking around as the water contiuned to pour in on the man.

Henry charged at the tank bashing his shoulder against it, but he failed. The man held his breath as water completely filled the tank. Henry stumbled back and heard a click. He looked down and saw that he had found a switch. He turned to Alex and said "L-look at the floor... can you s-see a switch?"

Alex looked around before spotting it. "Y-yes!" She nodded going to go towards a near by switch to hit it.

The water began to drain from the tank and the front opened. The man fell to the ground and coughed violently. Henry went to his side and asked "A-are you... alright?" The man nodded and tried to stand. He regained his balance and said "Thank you. That was frightful!"

"It is a good thing Henry found out quickly how to save you..." Alex smiled as she went to help Henry with the stranger.

The man offered his hand and said "My name is Adam Peters. Thank you for saving me"

"Henry and Alexandra" She smiled going to shake his hand. "We're going to have to work together to survive."

"I see" Adam replied. He shivered and said "We should get going then, shouldn't we?"

"Yes, we do not want the guards to catch us...We better hurry" She said nodding as she began to walk off.

Meanwhile somewhere in the dungeon a man was laying uncoincious on the floor, sprawled out in a cage. Three hungry dogs circled him. Since Adam had been released the clogs to this man's cage began to move - ever so slightly rising the cage from the ground by ever other minutes. The dog's would need to be lured into other cages around the room if this man was to be spared.

As the group entered a new room Henry swallowed hard and said "I-I don't think... the dogs a-are here to play"

The dog's turned when they heard Henry speak up, snarling they began to stalk over. "Uhhh.... There are cages through out the room?" Alex mentioned as she looked around, bit nervously as one of the dogs immeditally made a dash for them. Alex immeditally darted off, not wanting to be eaten.

Adam caught another dogs attention and called "Head for the cages!" Henry had to slow down a bit so the dog wouldn't give up before going into the cage.

Alex ran to a cage the dog following her, she managed to trick the dog into it's cage kicking it shut and locking it in. The man in the middle of the room was groaning, starting to come around as the cage was risen to just about a foot off the ground now.
