Bio: Freddy's parents own the only company legally allowed to trade with the outside world. They are wealthy and powerful, and have no use for a child who isn't perfectly obedient. She and her parents have fought since she was very young, and when she finally lost her temper and blurted out that she could burn them with a thought, they threw her out. Her life was spared only to save them from the embarrassment of having a heretic child. She was found on the streets by William, who took her in and cared for her like a daughter. She fell in love with him despite the age difference and became his most loyal follower.

He is now a member of that military, but is still mistrusted and treated like a slave.

Bio: Regan was 20 when he found a five-year-old heretic girl being attacked by a mob. Her parents were already dead. The normally peaceful Regan was surprised to find himself leaping into the fight, saving the girl's life and getting her to safety. They bonded immediately, and he chose to give up the life he had and move somewhere where no one knew him, so he could pass the girl - Kiley - off as his daughter. They have been living together as family ever since.

Bio: Alex was born to a farmer's family. Before he was born the crops were poor, but the night he was born every seed the farmer planted flourished. When he was 6 they had another baby, his sister Amy. The two were very close, and often played together. The family never suspected their son to be a heretic until their daughter's 5th birthday where they caught the two of them out back while Alex was summoning a white rose as her gift. He was chased away from his home town by the guards, whom managed to attack him a few times before he got away. Alex got to a new town, quickly got stitched up and went into hiding. For the next six years he lived as a thief, stealing what he needed, until he met William Parsons. William convinced Alex to join him and Alex has served him ever since.
