"...Poor guy..." Adena said softly. "I can understand, not being able to trust right away after something that bad happening. How long have you had him, if you don't mind me asking?"

"I've had him since he was a baby. I think I was around 16 at the time" Donnic replied as he stroked Absol's head

"You've guys been partners for a while." She nodded.

Donnic chuckled "you could say that"

"Growlithe and I have been partners for a while too.. I got him as an egg." She smiled.

"You must be quite close then"

"Yes..." Adena nodded as some crackling sounds could be heard from outside. She looked outside of the cave quickly, Growlithe growling as he heard the sounds. "We have company..."


Outside Gideon gasped as his throat was grabbed tightly by the younger man, Gideon was struggling. Whoever this trainer is, he was sneaky. Luxray was sprawled out, having been knocked out by a broken branch that got burnt off the tree. "...You'll be my second victim, of the day.~" Luke mused with a sickening smirk.

"H-help....."

Donnic motioned for Adena to stay put and snuck out of the cave. Following the voices he snuck behind the trained, held his bowie knife to his back and said "how about letting them go? I'm sure your lungs will appreciate it"

Luke released Gideon who fell to the ground, gasping for air. Turning to face Donnic, Luke smiled. "Tough guy, aren't we?" He mused as he eyed the knife that was pointed at him.
