Poor Unfortunate Souls

Henry and Adam tricked their dogs and trapped them. They turned to the new man to see if he was alright and if the cage had opened.

Darin awoke, sitting up he held his aching head. "W-where?" He mumbled as the room spinned on him. He soon fell forward slightly barely catching himself before his face could collide with the ground. "My head..." He said going to go force himself back up, Alex walking quickly. "Give it a minute..." Alex said, walking over.

Adam and Henry went to the man and Adam asked "How do you feel? Are you hurt?"

"I'll be alright..Just a headache." He brushed it off, getting up. "Thank you for your concern." He soon added, Alex smiling slightly as she sighed. "I'm glad this is over..." She mused looking over at one of the snarling dogs who was barking at them.

Adam thought for a moment and said "We would be better off if we could find a map. Wandering around aimlessly is sure to get us caught"

"Is there even a map here?" Darin asked, rubbing the back of his head. "We are kind of stuck in a dungeon..." He pointed out, not believing they would be so lucky as to find a map here.

Adam nodded and replied "True, but even a king must know his dungeon. Perhaps whoever put us here dropped it, or even left it to taunt us"

"Highly doubtful, it would make no sense to leave a map." Darin said as Alexandra sighed. "Let's just walk, if we find a map, we find a map and it will help us." She said, she herself wanted to find a map.

As they walked Henry seemed anxious. He felt like someone, or something, was watching.

"Is everything alright?" Alex asked noticing,, Darin lagging behind slightly as they walked.

Henry tried to respond but his voice caught in his throat. Suddenly he collapsed! And worse yet They could hear another guard coming.

"Son of a bitch!" Darin cried out, when he heard the guard coming as henry collasped. "We need to hide..." Alex whispered as Darin went to pull Henry up so he could drag him. "Over there!" She said pointing to a empty storage room. Darin nodded dragging the smaller man with them.

As they hide Adam shook Henry, trying to wake him. He whispered "Damn. He's out cold. What happened?"

"It looks like he just, you know? Passed out." Darin said sarcastically as Alex stood by the door quietly listening for the guard.

"Wake up you idiot!" Adam whispered as he shook Henry harder. Henry barely moved, but Adam could hear him mumbling "Must.... remember..."

"Stop it." Darin said, placing a hand on Adam. "What if he wakes up startled and screams? That guard will find us!"

"Right... lost my head... sorry" Adam replied. He kept a hand on Henry's mouth just in case, and watched the door.

Darin went to scan the shelves as they waited in the room, wheezing sounds getting louder as if there were two walking nearby. Alex trembled slightly back away from the door nervously.

Adam pulled Henry farther back into the darkness. He looked at the other guy and mouthed 'What now?'

"Just looking around" He mouthed back as Alex went to join Henry and Adam, crouching down.

Adam searched, but found nothing. And the wheezing outside was getting louder.

Alex held her breath slightly as Darin went to crouch down as if that would help them any.

Suddenly, they heard a voice on the other side of the door shout "HEY! OVER HERE!" The guards footsteps grew faint and Adam whispered after a moment "should we try and leave now?"

"I think it is safe..." Darin said going to peer out side. "It's clear."

Adam dragged Henry and cursed "Shit! Why isn't he awake yet!"
